Aysh has completed her Masters in Sustainable Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning, at the University of Sydney. Her thesis work was in the area of thermal comfort and sustainable design, and uses the DesignBuilder/EnergyPlus building energy simulation suite to predict the performance of naturally ventilated existing buildings, and Autodesk Ecotect for solar shading, sun penetration and daylighting. She has over five years of experience in Architecture and Interior Design spread over commercial, residential and industrial projects. Aysh has worked with Accurate, BASIX and BCA Section-J in the residential buildings area. Aysh has strong detailing and documentation skills, and has significant expertise with AutoCAD and good knowledge of Revit. At Team Catalyst Aysh is developing expertise in the optimisation of the building envelope using building energy simulation to test the impact of orientation, insulation, glazing selection and shading in reducing system capacity and improving thermal comfort. She is also developing skills in providing early design visual inputs for these options, including shading from surrounding features and daylighting within the building floor plate.
